Sudden Transfer to Interrogation Ward of Omid Kokabee of Grave Concern

CCS is alerting Dr. Mohammad Javad Ardashir Larijani about this worrisome development in Kokabee’s imprisonment, contradicting earlier suggestions that a pardon might be forthcoming.

Dear Dr. Larijani,

We have learned that Omid Kokabee has been transferred to solitary confinement in Ward 209 of Evin prison. This worsening of his situation is at odds with your recent suggestion that he can be pardoned and released. We urge you to do everything in your power to save Omid Kokabee from physical and psychological pressure and to achieve his release from prison.
