Belarusian Professor and Student sentenced to probation, Network for Education and Academic Rights
Feduta, a political activist, was a member of the Vladimir Nekliajev presidential election team. He was charged with Article 293 (mass riot), parts 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code of Republic of Belarus and faced a sentence of 5-15 years. On 20 May, Feduta was sentenced to two years probation by the Frunzenski District Court in Minsk. He has been recognized as prisoner of conscience by Amnesty International.
