Many of the Academics for Peace signees have gone to court with the following outcomes:

Constitutional Court Cases

The Court upheld the objection of the ten defendants and declared that the petition was legitimately within the domain of freedom of speech on July 26, 2019

Peace Academics Who Had Not Accepted Deferment of Their Sentencing

Eight were acquitted

Fusun Ustel was already serving time when the Constitutional Court issued their decision. She was acquitted and set free on October 18, 2019.

Verdicts were overturned by the appeals court on February 25, 2020 and then acquitted by the court that originally tried them
